Colorado is like the France of the West.

There was lots of towel waving going on in this year's baseball playoffs. I was pretty disappointed to see it in Cleveland, I thought they were a good baseball town. The others are newer franchises in smaller markets so it's slightly more understandable (but still in bad form)

I was sort of a fan of the Rockies (lived in CO for three years). Thanks for checking on me, Jeff. I just have been so so so so occupied with work and life, or life and work (but unforuntately that is all for now). I have not posted here. As usual, I keep notes with eblogger so you are welcome to visit if you want. It has been a while since I put in my last entry there though.

Thank you my friend and hope you are having fun.

Sorry that my Red Sox put such a beating on the Rockies. Well, I'm really not sorry...but you know what I mean.

That said I think the Rockies have some good years ahead of them. They are a good team, they just were not anywhere near as good as the Red Sox.

Glad all is well, I do not know your eblogger account name so if you could send me a message with it that would be great.
I heard that there was an ad in the local Boston papers before Game 1 trying to motivate fans to bring red socks to Fenway to wave around. I'm glad it didn't catch on. Red Sox Nation does not need to wave anything to show our support.

Our collective attention to in-game nuances: every two-strike count, every Tek sign that gets shaken off, OOT scoreboard watching, bullpen warm-up watching (Gagne!), etc...We're "in" the game and we don't have to wave towels, monkeys, socks, or anything else for you to feel our presence.
Kanto, I never saw that ad, but I rarely read the print copy of the papers just the online one. I think most Red Sox fans would have rejected it out of hand in any case.

I agree with your take 100%, and I was kind of disappointed that Cleveland fans were doing the towel thing because Cleveland is not only an old-time baseball town but they have had success in the fairly recent past.

Thanks for having faith in the Rockies. They are a good team. And congrats on the RS. They were really good.

I am not really as active as I want to be with blogging. Used to have some fun with flickrs and made so many friends from there. I miss them all.

You'd rather they be pink? Yellow? Mauve?
